London Wheelchair Basketball and Tennis

Choice run Wheelchair Basketball and Wheelchair Tennis training sessions at East Ham Leisure Centre on Saturdays 12noon-2pm.

Choice initiated and are developing the London Defenders Wheelchair Basketball club. The London Defenders is an affiliated club with The Great Britain Wheelchair Basketball Association (GBWBA).

East Ham Leisure Centre is wheelchair accessible. It is located in the centre of town next to East Ham Town Hall, East Ham Library, and is a short walk from East Ham High Street South.

Bus

There are well-connected public transport links. The nearest underground tube station is East Ham on the District or Hammersmith and City lines, approximately 10-15mins walk to the Centre, or a short bus ride via the following bus routes towards Beckton/ Barking: 101,104,474,238,376,300

Parking

There are 5 disabled parking bays at the Centre which operate on a first come first serve basis, no reservations available. The closest public car park is at St Johns Road East and West car park, entrance off St Johns Road. Please see the map below. There are many more disabled parking bays in the local area where disabled blue badge holders can park for free for up to 3 hours. Blue badge holders can also park on most residential streets around the Centre for free. Please check signage on roads
